Get your crypto off Robinhood
Moving coins into a wallet you control, without losing them on the way.
+1. Set up a self custody wallet
Install Phantom if you are moving Solana, or MetaMask if you are moving anything on an EVM chain. Create a new wallet, write the seed phrase on paper, and store it offline. Nobody from this project will ever ask for it.
Placeholder to replace: your preferred wallet links and any wallet setup screenshots.
+2. Find the withdraw option in Robinhood
Open the coin in Robinhood, choose the transfer or withdraw option, and pick the network that matches your wallet. Copy the receiving address straight from your wallet, never type it by hand.
Placeholder to replace: the exact Robinhood menu path and current withdrawal limits.
+3. Test small, then send the rest
Send a small test amount first. Wait for it to land in the wallet and show as confirmed on chain, then send the remainder. A few minutes of patience beats a permanent mistake.
+4. The mistakes that actually cost people money
Wrong network is the big one: coins sent on a network your wallet does not support are usually gone for good. Also watch for pasted addresses that were swapped by clipboard malware, so check the first and last characters before you confirm.
Robinhood crypto fees and spread, explained
Plain English on what you actually pay, plus a glossary of the words everyone throws around.
+What is the spread?
The spread is the gap between the price you buy at and the price you could sell at right now. Even when a platform says commission free, that gap is a real cost baked into the quoted price.
Placeholder to replace: Robinhood's current published spread and fee details.
+Network fees are separate
When you move coins out to your own wallet, the blockchain charges a network fee (gas). That is paid to the network, not to Robinhood, and it changes with congestion.
+Glossary
- Wallet: software that holds the keys to your coins.
- Self custody: you hold the keys, so no company can freeze or lose them for you.
- Seed phrase: 12 or 24 words that restore your wallet. Anyone who has it owns your coins.
- Gas: the network fee for a transaction.
- DEX: a decentralised exchange where wallets swap tokens directly.
- Slippage: the difference between the price you expected and the price you got.
- Market cap: price multiplied by circulating supply.
- Circulating supply: how many tokens are actually out there.
- Contract address: the unique on chain ID of a token. Always verify it.
- Liquidity: how much is available to trade against before the price moves.
How to buy $HOPPY, starting from Robinhood
The full path from a Robinhood balance to $HOPPY sitting in your own wallet.
+1. Buy on Robinhood, then withdraw
Buy the coin you need on Robinhood, then withdraw it to your own wallet on the matching network. Do the small test transfer first.
+2. Swap for $HOPPY
You can buy the same way you would buy any Robinhood chain meme coin: a wallet like MetaMask, a trading terminal such as gmgn or Padre, or a Telegram trading bot. Paste the official contract address, set a sensible slippage, and confirm the swap.
Placeholder to replace: your preferred buy links (terminal, bot, swap) once they are live.
+3. Confirm it landed
Import the contract address into your wallet if the balance does not show automatically, then check the token appears with the right amount.
+Scam warning, read this one
Only ever use the official contract address published on this site. Copycat tokens use near identical names and images. If an address came from a DM, a reply, or a random group, assume it is fake.
